Lois Pauline Hooks, 83, of Stephenville, Texas, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at a local nursing home. Graveside Services will be at 4:00 p.m., on Monday, February 8, 2010, at the Oak Dale Cemetery with Harry Brown officiating. Burial will be at Oak Dale Cemetery.
Lois was born July 22, 1926, to Bryan and Inez (Watson) Wood in Stephenville, Texas. She married Paul V. Hooks on November 13, 1972, in Stephenville, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2008. She was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Locke and her husband, Joe, of DeLeon, TX, and Marilyn Follis and her husband, Sam, of California; three sons, Larry Wheeler of California, Mark Wheeler and his wife, Inid, of Oregon, and Randy Hooks and his fiancýe, Ila Smith, of Channing, TX; a sister, Norma Haynes of Stephenville, TX; eight grandchildren, Kelsey Locke, Matthew Locke and his wife, Sara, Manon Locke, Deborah Henderson and her husband, Jimmy, Cyndi Dunn and her husband, John, Bryan Benevides, Barbara Wheeler, and Robert Wheeler; and twelve great-grandchildren, Mattson, Sophie, and Weston Locke, M.J. and Sydnee Locke, Neva and Leland Henderson, Samantha, Nathan, Shawnie and Phillip Dunn, and Adella Molina.
