Aurelio Rodriguez, 83, of Kermit, Texas, a retired carpenter, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at a nursing home in Stephenville, Texas. Services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Philip McNamara officiating. He will be cremated following funeral services. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Lacy Funeral Home.

He was born on November 12, 1926, to the late Jose Maria Rodriguez and Manuela (Gonzalez) Rodriguez in Barstow, Texas. He married Matilde Venegas on June 22, 1946, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kermit, Texas.

Survivors include wife, Matilde Rodriguez of Kermit, TX; daughters, Mary Carrasco and husband, Delfin, of Santa Teresa, NM, Rosa Marrufo and husband, Paul, of Victoria, TX, and Cruz Gray and husband, T.J., of Gordon, TX; sons, Arturo Rodriguez and wife, Rhonda, of Santa Teresa, NM, Robert Rodriguez and wife, Viola, of Monahans, TX, Jose Manuel Rodriguez and wife, Carmen, of Rosenberg, TX, and Larry (Junior) Dominguez of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Miguel Rodriguez of Kermit, TX; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Rodriguez, in 1972.
