Homer Clifton Sims, 97, of Stephenville, a Retired Minister, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at his residence.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Country Oaks Cemetery with Rev. James Sheufelt officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Homer was born on May 3, 1915 to the late Lee Franklin and Della Tenna (McCarter) Sims in Floydada, Texas. He married Kathryn Jones. She preceded him in death on January 15, 1988.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Fox of Galveston, Debbie Sims of Galveston, Edith Day of Stephenville, Janice Sims of Stephenville, Katherine Cummings of California, Martha Blanton of California, Victoria Alles of California; sons, Wayne Sims, Kenneth Sims of California, Paul Sims of Oklahoma; sisters, Thelma Allen of Fort Worth, Lorene Shaw of Alvarado, Rose Grey; brothers, Marrion Sims of Washington; twenty-nine grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Louis Cline; and one son, Arnold Wayne Sims.
