Services for Jim Diener, 47, an oil field technician, who died January 25, 2013, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Jim was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, on June 7, 1965, to Donald and Shirley (Shaffer) Diener. He married Teresa Armstrong on July 19, 2008, in Boulder City, Nevada. He was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Glen Rose, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Diener of Stephenville; mother, Shirley Diener of Stephenville; daughter, Brittani Hollingsworth and boyfriend, Alex Koets, of Stephenville; son, Cody Orrick and fiance, Amber Fron, of Stephenville; three sisters, Joan Flowers of Fort Worth, Jean Gregory of Stephenville, and Jane Little and fiance, Scott Alexander, of Stephenville; a brother, Jack Diener and wife, Gayle, of Stephenville; granddaughter, Chelsea Kirk of Stephenville; two nieces, Kayla Gregory of Stephenville and Lindsey Little of Stephenville; and a nephew, Nathan Diener of Stephenville. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsea Diener, and his father, Don Diener.

Mr. Diener was a wonderful patient here at M.D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. All the staff remember his fighting spirit and " infectious smile".
