Services for Brother Dale Cartwright, 76, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Dale was born in Odessa, Texas, on May 25, 1941, to Wylie Sr. and Minnie (Watkins) Cartwright.  He married Chrystal Caldwell on June 10, 1960, in Comanche, Texas.

He was a Baptist minister from the age of nineteen to present.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Wylie B. Cartwright, Jr., and Nancy Ligon.

Survivors include his wife, Chrystal Cartwright of Stephenville, Texas; four children, Kelvin Cartwright of Grand Prairie, Texas, Cheryl Dowell of Stephenville, Texas, Rhonda Chappell and husband, Allen, of McCamey, Texas, and Michelle Sublette and husband, Charley, of Glen Rose, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.
