Services for Bud Whitehead, 79, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2017, at Oakdale United Methodist Church with Rev. Ellen Ely officiating assisted by Rev. Kory Koch. Burial will follow at the Dublin Live Oak Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Bud was born in Alma, Texas, on September 7, 1938, to William and Mary (Herrin) Whitehead. He married Betty Sanders on July 13, 2002, in Stephenville, Texas.

He was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church in Stephenville, Texas, and the First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls, Texas. Bud was an Army veteran, a building contractor, and an over the road contract driver.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Whitehead of Stephenville, Texas; sons, Stephen Collins and wife, Bonny, of Bulverde, Texas, and Jim Collins and wife, Melissa, of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Rick Whitehead and Jeff Whitehead; niece, Dianna Whitehead; and special family, Trisha and Austin Graham and Larry Acker all of Dublin, Texas.
