Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. A Rosary will be held from 6:00-6:30 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel followed by a time of visitation.

Jana was born in České Budějovice, Czech Republic, on March 7, 1958, to Otomar and Marta Boček. In her early childhood, Jana’s family moved to Prague where she finished her education and was accepted to Charles University of Prague. There she earned a Doctorate degree in Law, and practiced law for 2 years. She married her husband, Alois Piskor, in Budapest, Hungary, on December 28, 1985. They were happily married for 31 years. Together they started a music business, ALP Music. Jana always worked together with her husband, Alois, in the store as a sales person, manager, and bookkeeper. Her kindness and patience to work with customers was admired and appreciated.

A great mom of four, she was loved by her children for her warmth, great sense of humor, guidance, wisdom, affection, and selflessness. She always kept in touch with them and built their positive attitude towards life.

Jana created a circle of friends who loved her for her willingness to serve others with kindness, words of encouragement, compassion, and charity. Jana was involved in a weekly Bible study at St. Brendan’s Church, Helping Hands Ministries, Eucharistic Ministries, and Lady’s Guild.

During her cancer treatment, she quietly suffered and never complained about her heavy cross of pain. Her devotion to God and prayers of others kept her strong to the last moments.

Survivors include her husband, Alois Piskor of Stephenville; her children, Claire Piskor of Houston, Monica Piskor of Fort Worth, Luke Piskor and wife, Danielle, of Dallas, and Lydia Piskor of Bryan; her mother, Marta Bočkova of Prague, Czech Republic; and her sister, Marta Kavka of Nebraska.
