Stephenville - Services for Juan Rivera, 59, a truck driver, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home with Pastor Oscar Poitan officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Lacy Funeral Home.

Juan was born in Miguel Aleman, Tamps, Mexico on September 11, 1957 to Baldemar and Maria Rivera.

He was a member of Iglesia De Dios in Stephenville.

He enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and other various sports. He also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and the Mexican National Soccer Team.

He was a loyal 15 year employee of Neal Guthrie Companies, Inc. He will be remembered as a hard-working, willing, good-natured man with an infectious smile and a heart of gold.

Above all, Juan was a family man and loved spending time with his children and other loved ones.

Survivors include his children, Eddie Rivera and wife, Krystal of Stephenville, Texas, Leslie Rivera of Stephenville, Texas; and Juan, Sandra, Jessica, and Yadira of California; mother, Maria Rivera of Roma, Texas; siblings, Abel Rivera, Sr. and wife, Ilusema of Houston, Texas, Alma Rivera and son, Angel, Mireya Rivera of Roma, Texas, Baldemar Rivera, Jr., and Martha Garza and husband, Juan of Roma, Texas; and grandchild, Donovan Rivera. Other survivors include his good friends, Mario Romero of Stephenville, Texas and Gilberto Solorio of Carlton, Texas; favorite nephews, Abel Rivera, Jr. and Alex Rivera; many nephews of Houston, Texas, as well as several other extended family members and friends.

He is was preceded in death by his father, Baldemar Rivera, Sr.; his brother, Gilberto Rivera; and his son, Luis Rivera.
