Stephenville - Services for LaVerne “Granny” Beyer, 86, a homemaker and rancher, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Werth Mayes officiating and Bob Gates and Dale Collum assisting. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home.

LaVerne was born in Lingleville, Texas on November 6, 1930 to Ahniwa and J. Kelley.

She married Carroll Beyer on November 20, 1948 in Lingleville, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1995.

She was a member of Huckabay Baptist Church.

She enjoyed cooking, ranching, checking cows, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Frances Beyer of Stephenville; grandchildren, Michael Beyer and spouse, Dawn of Stephenville, Mendy Beyer and spouse, Mike Zint of Stephenville, and Matt Witherspoon and spouse, Sue Ann of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Beyer, Aubrey Hayworth, Amber Hayworth, Alexis Hayworth, Jocash Witherspoon, Caleigh Ann Witherspoon, Madi Jo Witherspoon, J.R. Witherspoon, Justin Smith, Morgan Smith, Devin Veith, and Zayne Zint; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ahniwa and J. Kelley, her son, Danny Carroll, and brother, Wayne Kelley
