Services for Mary O. Halford, 81, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shannon Grubbs officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.-10:00a.m. prior to service. Burial will follow at Morgan Mill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Mary was born in Spring Hill, Texas on October 15, 1935 to Bis Mark and Annie Bell (Cates) Slater. She married Virgil Halford in February of 1981, in Rockwall, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bis Mark and Annie Bell Slater, one brother, JC Slater; two sisters, Libby Truelove, and Margie Chandler; and one grandson, Clint Barlow.

Survivors include her husband Virgil Halford; two sons, Billy Barlow of Watauga, TX, and Danny Williams and wife, Lisa of Waxahachie, TX; daughter, Cindi Curlee and husband, Tim of Wills Point, TX; grandchildren, Clay Barlow, Blaine Barlow, Russell Poovey and wife, Candice, Ricky Slocum and wife, Julie, Ashley LaMothe and husband, Matt, Casey Williams and wife, Karleigh, Hunnar Abalos, Connar Abalos, Guy Curlee, and Angelina Curlee, thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Sonny Slater; two sisters, Linda Bryant, and Jane Adams all of Dawson, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
