Stephenville - Services for W.G. “Dub” Cole, 92, heavy equipment operator, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Cowboy Church of Erath County with Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military honor. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home.

W.G. “Dub” was born in Eastland County, Texas on July 29, 1924 to Pearl and N.C. Cole.

He married Della Faye Box on December 6, 1964 in Stephenville, Texas. Della preceded him in death on July 18, 2009.

He later married Gwen Bain on March 26, 2012 in Stephenville, Texas.

He was a member of the Cowboy Church of Erath County, a member of the Stephenville Masonic Lodge #267 where he served as a Tyler, and a member of the VFW. He loved playing golf.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Cole of Stephenville, Texas; children, Glendon Chick and wife, Paula of Hico, Texas, Gary Chick and wife, Doris of Huckabay, Texas, Carol Dixon and Rusty Dixon of Cleburne, Texas, and Pam Scott and husband, Dan of Stephenville, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nephew, Joe Cole of Granbury, Texas.
