Alan Douglas Shores

Services for Alan Douglas Shores, 46, the Director of Business Development for the Project Group, who died on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home with Dr. Ken May officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1–2 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Alan was born January 6, 1972, in Houston in the Cypress Fairbanks area. He accepted Christ as his personal savior in 1985. Following his graduation from Cypress High School in 1990, he attended Tarleton State University, graduating in 1994. Upon graduation, he embarked on a varied career tract; first, at the Cheese Plant in Stephenville, followed by employment with Associated Milk Producers, Brazos Valley foods, Coca Cola to Cadbury Schwepps in Illinois. He left Cadbury to become a full partner in The Project Group in only one year.

He is survived by his parents Doug and Carol Shores, his ex-wife, Stephanie, and many, many friends.

Alan was outgoing and generous and especially enjoyed helping 4-H and FFA members with their animal projects since he was very actively involved in these organizations while growing up.
