Bill Holden

Services for Bill, 95, accountant, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Huckabay Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Lacy Funeral Home.

 Bill was born in Borden County, Texas on July 6, 1924 to the late, Bert and Helen Holden. He married Jean Swatsell Holden on June 6, 1965, in Dallas, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 18, 2016.

 Bill was a member of Huckabay Baptist Church, and a WW II Navy Veteran.

 Bill was a Past Master of the Stephenville Masonic Lodge #267, where he received the Golden Trial Award. Bill was a District Deputy for the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, where he held the office of KCCH, and he was a member of the York Rite. Bill was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #801 of Stephenville and Chapter #693 of De Leon, where he served as past patron of both Chapters.

 Bill is survived by his children, Cathy Deatherage, of Stephenville, Texas, Mickey Swatsell, and wife Peggy, of Round Rock, Texas, and David Holden, of Gilmer, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Swatsell, and wife, Angie, of Stephenville, Texas, Mandy Kramer, and husband Jeff, of Stephenville, Texas, and Ryan Swatsell, of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Lucy Toton; great grandchildren, Jeffery Swatsell, Jacob Swatsell, and Piper Kramer.

 Bill is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Swatsell on November 30, 1994.
