Memorial services and a celebration of Life for Casey Thomas Campbell will be held at Newman Hall, 1444 W. Washington this coming Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the afternoon. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Casey Thomas Campbell was born on July 31, 1956 in Abilene, Texas. He was the first of 3 children. His love for his sister Terie, and his brother Chad was great, and he loved to brag about them any chance he got. He graduated from Stephenville High School in 1975 and it has been quoted by many that he was the best all-around athlete of that class. Although, Casey would never say he was. He married the love of his life, Susan Campbell, on June 13, 1980. It was Friday the 13th, and he got a kick out of telling people that! He became a father for the first time when Courtney Marie was born in March of 1984, and again when Caitlin Anne was born nearly 6 years later in February of 1990.

He was a man of many trades: he worked overseas in the oil fields, as a carpenter, as a specialty cabinet maker, masonry, and in the restaurant business. He was especially skilled at wood craftsmanship. Casey loved to cook, and he loved his girls. He was an avid Rangers fan unless they were playing the Yankees! He loved sports of any kind. He loved going hunting, especially when it was with his dad. He was a passionate lover of dogs, and every dog loved Casey. Casey loved music, especially classic rock. He always knew every word and if he wasn't singing along then he was playing along with his harmonica.

Casey was the type of man that lit up a room with his presence. He kept a small circle, but was loved by all who knew him. Friends say he loved without judgement, and he loved his 3 girls, Susan, Courtney, and Caitlin the most! Casey was a spiritual man, and he loved the Lord deeply. He never shied away from talking or sharing about that deep love.

Casey was preceded in death by his father Donnie Campbell.

He is survived by his mother, Joy Campbell, his wife of 37 years, Susan Campbell, his daughter Courtney Campbell and husband Chris of Abilene, his daughter Caitlin Campbell of San Angelo, his sister Terie Campbell of Southlake, his brother Chad Campbell and wife Paige and their two daughters Carly and Cooper Campbell of Chinagrove, NC.
