Services for Cipriano Rivera, Sr., 72, journeyman lineman, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017, at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Cipriano was born in Durango, Mexico, on September 16, 1945, to Amando and Guadalupe (Arzola) Rivera. He married Manuela (Hernandez) Rivera on April 12, 1969, in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.

He was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Manuela Rivera of Stephenville, TX; four children, Carlos Rivera and wife, Cynthia, of Lancaster, CA, Cipriano Rivera, Jr., and wife, Serena, of Stephenville, TX, Catalino Rivera and wife, Rachel, of Decatur, TX, and Gisela Lujan and husband, Albert, of Fort Worth, TX; eight grandchildren, Vincent Gomez of Lordsburg, NM, Hannah Rivera of Stephenville, TX, Mercedes Rivera of Decatur, TX, Kacey Rivera of Lancaster, CA, Chelsea Rivera of Stephenville, TX, Jacob Rivera of Decatur, TX, Diego Rivera of Stephenville, TX, and Alyssa Rivera of Lancaster, CA; and siblings, Panfilo Rivera of Las Vegas, NV, Juan Rivera of Stockton, CA, Luciano Rivera of San Antonio, TX, Amando Rivera of Las Vegas, NV, Cesareo Rivera of Avondale, AZ, Isabel Luevano of Pearsall, TX, Jose Rivera of Pearsall, TX, and Maria Teresa Beltran of Merced, CA.
