Donald Marine Obituary
A Graveside service for Donald Gene Marine, 88, Superintendent over heavy equipment operations and a Diesel Mechanic, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, 21, 2019, at Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn,Texas, with Rev. Bill Grisham officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Donald was born in Mingus, Texas on January 9, 1931 to Andrew Marine and Janie Salerno. He married Donnie Gene (Tarver) Marine on January 15, 1951.
Donald was a member of the Methodist Church, a past Master of the Haltom City Masonic Lodge #1331, and he was a Veteran of United States Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include wife, Donnie G. Tarver, daughter Cheryl Marine Lopez and husband Paul Lopez, Jr. of Fort Worth; five grandchildren, Donald Gates Lopez, Sydney Marine Lopez, Cristal Chiles, Travis Marine, Cory Marine and six great grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by a son, Gary Don Marine on August 13, 2010.
