Gilberto Barreras

Services for Gilberto Barreras, 77, a farmer, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. Burial will follow at  Lower Green’s Creek Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel.  

Gilberto was born in San Juan Del Rio, Durango, Mexico, on March 8, 1941, to Sotero and Catarina (Hernandez) Barreras.  He married Maria Arambula.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Guadalupe Barreras of Stephenville, Texas; his children, Gabino Barreras and wife, Silvia, of Lewisville, Texas, Roberto Barreras of Stephenville, Texas, Manuel Barreras and wife, Margarita, of Stephenville, Texas, Petra Barreras and husband, Ruben Olvera, of Dublin, Texas, Carmen Alvarez and husband, Juan, of Dublin, Texas, Rosa Barreras of Mexia, Texas, Connie Barreras and husband, Ambrosio Rodriquez, of Dublin, Texas, and Lety Leal and husband, Junior, of Waco, Texas; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four siblings.
