Jerry Wayne Power

Graveside services for Jerry Wayne Power, seventy-one, retired minister, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Wesley Chapel with Rev. Gary Way officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Jerry was born in Abilene, Texas on October 26, 1946 to Larkin J. Power and wife, Eva (Cole). He married Melba Wenelle (Koonce) Power on August 18, 1967, in Fort Worth, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 23, 1990.

Jerry was a minister for thirty-three years and after retirement he worked for The John Deere dealer in Brownfield, Texas.

 Survivors include his children, Amy Wenelle Shook and husband, Jason of Anton, Colorado, Jerry Wayne Power, Jr. and wife, Carrie Renea of Hurst, Texas, and Garry Edward Power and wife, Jessica Renee of Akron, Colorado; siblings, Jack Power and wife, Jo Beth of Spring, Texas, Julia Davidson and husband, Ronnie of Spring, Texas, and Calvin Power and wife, Janie of Whitehouse, Texas; also ten grandchildren.
