Stephenville - Services for Jose C. "Pepe" Torres, 68, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2018, at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel.

Jose was born in El Albia, Coah, Mexico, on August 14, 1949, to Joaquin Torres and Sofia Campos. He married Rosa Maria Orozco on March 12, 1977, in Acuna, Coah, Mexico. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2016.

He was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stephenville, Texas.

Survivors include his daughter, Flor E. Ortuño and her husband, Julian; daughters, Alejandra Torres and Sophia Torres; his son, Eriverto Torres and his wife; Claudia; grandchildren, Julian Ortuño Jr., Damian Ortuño, Bianca Ortuño, Justo Gonzales, Victoria Lopez, Valeria Angel Torres, and Angel Ortuño; and eight siblings, Consuelo Ruiz, Velia Venegas, Elda Perez, Alma Leticia Urritia, Ana Rosa Flores, Sofia Torres, Joaquin Torres, and Blanca Torres.
