Linda Sue Land

Services for Linda Sue Land, 72, a retired administrative assistant at Tarleton State University Dick Smith Library, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Valley Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Duffau Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Linda was born in Erath County, Texas, on August 31, 1945, to Willard Clifton and Frankie Helen (Baker) Shelton. She married Jerry Mack Land on March 25, 1965.

She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Land of Stephenville; children, Kimberlyn Grantham and husband, Chris, of Stephenville, and Gayle Land and Cody Huffman of Stephenville; grandchildren, Robyn Landrie Grantham, Jonathan Grantham, Avery Misenhimer, and Cade Huffman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, W. C. Shelton, and a sister, Gina Gaither.
