Stephenville – Graveside services for Marshall Lane Shelton, 89, former City Manager of Stephenville, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 27, 2017, at West End Cemetery with Rev. Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Marshall was born in Tahoka, Texas, on October 10, 1928, to Sanford and Lena Mae (Ansley) Shelton.  Marshall married Bonnie June Godwin on September 1, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2009. Marshall married Shirley Dingler in Amarillo, Texas.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stephenville, Texas. He was also a member of the Rotary Club and a Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Shelton of Amarillo, Texas; son, Mike Shelton and wife, Irene, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and grandchildren, Brendon, Danielle, and Jace Shelton.
