Mildred Galene Mangrum Obituary

“Granny” Galene Mangrum, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 30, 2018, from 6-8 p.m., at Lacy Funeral Home.

She was born at Christmas Creek in Prairie Hill, Texas, on January 10, 1931.

Galene was a member of Harvey Baptist Church. She deeply loved the Lord, her family, and her Sunday School Class. She was called “Granny” by family and friends and always had a song in her heart.

Survivors include her children, Linda Erlanson and husband, Mike, of Hewitt, TX, Bobby Mangrum and wife, Mary Jane, of Stephenville, TX, Brenda Lowe and husband, David, of Troup, TX, and Tim Mangrum and wife, Debbie, of Stephenville, TX; eight grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Alline Wheelis, and a brother, Bobby Wheelis.
