Richard Dolphas Swanner

Graveside Services for Richard Dolphas Swanner, 83, who died on June 2, 2019, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Liberty Cemetery with Rev. Michael Orsini officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Hannibal, Texas on September 1, 1935 to Daniel and Bessie (Venable) Swanner, Jr.  He married Marjanna Lee, of Gordon, on September 1, 1956, in Weatherford, Texas. He was a member of the 1st Christian Church, and was an avid musician.

Survivors include his wife Marjanna Swanner of Gordon, four children Debra Waller & husband Gary of Midland, Loretta Burgos & husband Robert of Groton, Ct.; Rhonda McCullough & husband Gordon of Weatherford; and Deanne Jones & husband Joey Saucier of Burleson. 7 grandchildren Geri Lynn, Rachael Lee, Richard Lee, Emily, Madison Paige, Hannah Rae, and Lauren McKenzie. One sister Gladis Parr of Stephenville. 3 Great Grandchildren Ashlynn, Jacquelynn Marie, and Daymon Gage. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 6 nephews.
