Ruth Boman McLemore

Graveside Services for Ruth Boman McLemore, 79, retired Administrative Assistant at First Baptist Church, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2019, at Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery, Athens, Texas, with Rev. Doug McLemore officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019, at Lacy Funeral Home, Stephenville, Texas.

Ruth was born in Athens, Texas, on September 27, 1939, to Larkin and Ruby (Wilbanks) Boman. She married Larry McLemore on December 19, 1959, in Athens, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2003.

Ruth considered herself to be a member of both First Baptist Church, Stephenville, Texas, and the First United Methodist Church, Stephenville, Texas. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxillary.

Survivors include her sons and their families, Doug and Emily McLemore and children, Maddie, Lexi & Kylie, all of Stephenville, Texas, and Martin and Laura McLemore of Lipan, Texas, and children, Mason McLemore and Heather Sligh and husband, Spencer, and their children, Hayden Sligh & Easton Sligh; her brother, Bill Boman of Grapevine, Texas; and her sister Ann Nell Fincher and husband, Eddie, of Athens, Texas. She was preceded in death by one son, Jason McLemore, in 1972.
