Graveside Services for Virgil Nelson Halford, 81, owner and operator of a wrecking service, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017, at Morgan Mill Cemetery with Rev. Shannon Grubbs officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Virgil was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, on May 4, 1936, to Virgil S. and Emma Ethel (Goodbar) Halford. He married Mary Slater on February 27, 1981, in Rockwall, Texas. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2017.

Survivors include his children, Billy Barlow of Watauga, Texas, Danny Williams and wife, Lisa, of Waxahachie, Texas, and Cindi Curlee and husband, Tim, of Wills Point, Texas; grandchildren, Clay Barlow, Blaine Barlow, Russell Poovey and wife, Candice, Ricky Slocum and wife, Julie, Ashley LaMothe and husband, Matt, Casey Williams and wife, Karleigh, Hunnar Abalos, Connar Abalos, Guy Curlee, and Angelina Curlee; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; his sisters, Cora Beth Cluck of Dallas, Texas, Ona Weaver of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Patsy Dillard of Mineral Wells, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Halford, his grandson, Clint Barlow, and a sister, Margie DeBerry.
