Addie Nina Bishop, peacefully entered her eternal rest on January 4. 2024. Her wishes were to be cremated with a private memorial service to be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Addie was born in Ranger, Texas, on June 20, 1940, to John T. Varner and Ruby Esther Barnes. She married James H. Bishop on September 2, 1965, in Ranger, Texas.
Addie was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God church in Stephenville, Texas. Addie had a true servants heart, taking care of and serving others as a nurse. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, and especially loved and appreciated beautiful flowers. Addie’s absolute pride and joy were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Addie also dedicated time reading and studying her Bible.
Survivors include her husband, James H. Bishop of Stephenville, Texas; children, Florence Duncan of Stephenville, Texas; Rebecca White of Garland, Texas; and Roy Varner and wife, Lanetta of Caddo, Texas; grandchildren, Lori Sundblad and husband, Mike of Waxahachie, Texas; Joe Duncan of Waxahachie, Texas; Cody Duncan of Waxahachie, Texas; Jeremy Duncan of Stephenville, Texas; Sherri Creech and husband, Justin of Kilgore, Texas; Mitchell White of Garland, Texas; Taylor White of Trenton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Caty; Caleb; Carissa; Rain; Jordan; and Jaelyn; and great-great grandchild, Eli.
