Alva Jo (Porch) Rose

A Private Family Service for Alva Jo Rose, 92, retired secretary with the Federal Aviation Administration, will be held at a later date. Burial will be at West End Cemetery.

Jo born in Ovalo, Texas, on January 1, 1930, to Alva and Deuo (McMillon) Porch. She married Sonny Rose on March 18, 1950, in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2018.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. She was a member of the Garden Club, Red Hat Society, and the Supper Club at First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Steve Rose and wife, Sara, of Frisco, Texas, Jim Rose and wife, Nelda, of Odessa, Texas, and Kayla Lowery of Dublin, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; her brothers, Charles Porch, of Big Spring, Texas, and Paul Porch of Wesley, Arkansas; and her sister, Barbara Adams.
