Services for Amber Cheri Cato Watts will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Clyde Cemetery, Clyde, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Amber was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 6, 1988, to her biological parents, Jay W. Matsler and Loisesther Leona Cato. Amber passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Mingus, Texas, at the age of 36.
At an early age, she came to live in Clyde, Texas, with Beth and Alton Cato her adoptive parents. She attended school in Clyde, Texas, and was baptized at the Church of Christ there in Clyde. She was very talented in art and performed in many of the school plays. Amber had a love for music, song writing, and enjoyed singing. Amber also loved to paint and had a knack for refurbishing furniture. Amber was loved and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her parents, Beth and Alton Cato of Clyde, Texas; her biological parents, Leona Cody of Stephenville, Texas, and Jay Matsler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters, Laci Watts of Marlow, Oklahoma, and Everlei Moran of Stephenville, Texas; son, Evan Frantz of Shawnee, Oklahoma; her siblings, Glenda Robertson (Mark Robertson, Deceased) and Terry Cato and wife, Chari; brother, James Ray and wife, Meranda of Brownwood, Texas; and other brothers and sisters; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
