Arturo Jaime Rojas

Services for Arturo Jaime Rojas, 67, a machine operator, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Lacy Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the Rosary from 7:00 -9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2020.

Arturo was born in Ejido Primero de Mayo Coahuila, Mexico, on March 1, 1953, to Rafael and Maria (Perez) Rojas. He married Maria Gloria Govea on March 5, 1976, in Stephenville, Texas.

He was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include wife, Maria Rojas of Stephenville, Texas; children, Arturo Rojas and wife, Rita, of Stephenville, Texas, Alicia Oviedo and husband, Juan, of Cleburne, Texas, Anita Velez and husband, Abel G., of Houston, Texas, Angelina Ponce and husband, Pedro, of Lingleville, Texas, and Gloria Washington and husband, Jarrett , of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Selena Varela, Anthony Neve, Joseph Rojas, John Ayala, Isaiah Pittman, Gwendolyn Pittman, Cynthia Ayala, Annalicia Rojas, Xithlaly Oviedo, Natalia Oviedo, Aly Macias, Daniel Aguero, Juan Aguero, Yahaira Ponce, Jasmine Washington, Gisella Washington, and Janessa Washington; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Leopoldo Rojas of Florida and Rafael Riojas of Stephenville, Texas; and his sister, Rosa Prado of Stephenville, Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Rojas and Jose Perez.
