Barbara Theresa Poplin

Services for Barbara Theresa Poplin will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Matthew Sanka officiating. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for visitation following the rosary. Barbara passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Alaska. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Barbara was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 7, 1953, to her parents Frank James Poplin and Irene (Schuessler) Poplin.

Barbara was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She had a servant’s heart, caring and serving others in her work as a nurse. In her spare time, Barbara was a master gardener and she also enjoyed knitting. Barbara was a member of the Dublin Woman's Thursday Club.

Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa Garza of Dallas, Texas, and Kristen Tousley of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, Demetrius Bynum, Anabel Tousley, Austin Tousley, Brennen Tousley, and William Tousley; and sister, Annette Stevenson of Dallas, Texas.
