Belinda Masters Obituary

Belinda Gail Holt Masters, lovingly known by nearly everyone as Nana B, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home in Stephenville, Texas. She was 73 years old.

Born November 2, 1951, in Enid, Oklahoma, to the late Edward and Imogene (Morris) Holt, Belinda’s life was defined by her love for family, her devotion to education, and her endless kindness toward others. After graduating from Cordell High School, she continued her studies at Oklahoma State University and later earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Tech University — a testament to her lifelong commitment to learning.

Belinda began her teaching career in 1976 after moving to Wheeler, Texas, where she found her calling as both a teacher and a coach. Over 37 years, she poured her heart into shaping young minds at Mobeetie ISD, McLean ISD, and finally Wheeler ISD, where she spent the majority of her career. Belinda wasn’t just an educator — she was a mentor, cheerleader, and second mom to countless students. Her classroom was filled with laughter, compassion, and encouragement, leaving a lasting imprint on generations of children who were fortunate enough to call her “Mrs. Masters.”

Outside the classroom, Belinda’s heart belonged to her boys, Kyle and Brad. She was an active member of the Mustang Moms, a familiar face at every ball game, competition, and community event. Whether it was Boy Scout Troop 472, 4-H, FFA, or any other activity, she was always there — cheering, supporting, and celebrating. She traveled near and far to be wherever her sons needed her, and her pride in them was immeasurable.

Upon retirement, Belinda embraced her most cherished title — Nana B. Moving to Stephenville allowed her to be closer to family and to fully live out her favorite role. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren, Sage and Bentley, attending their school and sports events, and creating memories filled with joy, laughter, and love. To so many others who were blessed to know her, she was also Nana B — the one who showed up, lent a hand, gave a hug, and made everyone feel like family.

Belinda was preceded in death by Claude and Karen Kezer and Lynn and Pat Hathaway.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving family: Kyle, Dayna, Brad, Eric, Sage, and Bentley; her brother, Eddie Holt and Donna; her nephews, Chism Holt, Tanner Holt and Alicia, Colton Holt and Katey; along with a host of dear friends, neighbors, former students, and extended family who loved her deeply.

Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched — as a teacher, a mom, a friend, and above all, as Nana B, whose heart was big enough for everyone she met.
