Benito Mendez Rivera

Benito Mendez Rivera, 62, of Stephenville, Texas passed on May 5, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1964, in Mexico to Pedro Mendez and Juanita Rivera.

Benito was a hardworking contractor who took pride in building and fixing things with his hands. He enjoyed watching television, restoring old furniture, gardening, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.

Benito is survived by his mother Juanita Mendez, his four children, Alicia Mendez, Adam Mendez and wife Kandi, Adrian Mendez and wife Juliana, and Ana Astello. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: DaMario, Akhilles, Jerusha, Delilah, Eliah, and Axel.

He is also survived by his siblings Lucy, Miguel, Lola, and David, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Mendez, who passed away on February 10, 2026.

Benito will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and the love he had for his family. His memory and legacy will live on forever.

Services for Benito will be held at a later date in Mexico.
