Dan Leatherwood

Services for Dan Leatherwood, 48, Rancher, top-hand and partner of Leatherwood Ranch will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Nance officiating and assisted by Rev. Joe Rogers. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, July 9, 2019, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Dan was born in Stephenville, Texas, on December 11, 1970, to Allen Charles and Betty (Yeates) Leatherwood.  He married Kim Davis on June 11, 2016, in Huckabay, Texas.

He was a member of Lingleville Baptist Church. He was a  member of Stephenville Masonic Lodge #267, a lifetime member of  the NRA, and Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Leatherwood of Stephenville; Morray Freeman  the mother of his children, James Alec Leatherwood and John Silas Leatherwood of Stephenville; parents, Charley and Betty Leatherwood of Stephenville; brother, Kenneth Dale Leatherwood and wife, Kathryn Lynn, of Stephenville; niece, Sara Leatherwood of Stephenville; aunts, Judy Hallmark of Stephenville and Mary Ann Roberson and husband, Mike, of Lingleville; uncles, Sam Yeates and wife, Debbie, of Austin, and Doyle Yeates of Dublin; God-Father, Lt. Col. John Moser of Stephenville; and many cousins and friends.
