Graveside services for Darlene Lee, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan, Texas, with Werth Mayes officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Darlene was born in Erath County, Texas, on December 10,1939, to Eugene Cole and Christine Jacobs. She married Don Lee in 1956. He preceded her in death.

Darlene worked for many years in the cafeteria for Stephenville ISD, serving both meals and love. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Darlene was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her children, Paula Nabors of Stephenville; Don “Buster” Lee and wife, Tonja of Stephenville; grandchildren, Brandon Nabors of Grapevine; Tyler Nabors and wife, Amber of Stephenville; Kali Lee of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Jackson Fletcher of Decatur; and Jasper Lambert of Decatur; siblings, Mike Gryder; Kirby Gryder; Sharon Huckaby; Floreta Buchannon; and Patricia Alonzo.                      

Darlene asked that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of her husband, Don Earl Lee at American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
