Deborah Alene Hammonds

Deborah Alene Hammonds, at the age of 70, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Stephenville, Texas. She was born July 29, 1952, in Brownwood, Texas, to her parents, Jean Evans and Dr. Charles Hammonds.

Debbie graduated from High School in California and later returned to Texas. For several years, she was employed by Teledyne and traveled to different locations around the country. Later when she came to Stephenville, she worked at TSO, but Debbie finally found her passion when she became a compassionate caregiver for older adults. It was in this role, that Debbie found her true calling and lovingly provided care to many others.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dr Charles Hammonds Jr., her sister, Jeannette Elizabeth Curry, and niece, Kathy Curry.

Debbie is survived by her brother, Roy Hammonds, sister-in-law, Carol Hammonds, nephews, Marvin Curry and Kip Curry of Dublin, Texas, and nieces, Tracy Hughes, Amanda Smith, Summer Hammonds, and Emmy Graham.

A visitation will be held before the service at First Methodist Church Dublin, Texas, from 9:00-10:00 am on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

Services will follow at 10:00 am at First Methodist Church Dublin, Texas, with Rev. Ken Lunsford officiating.

Interment to follow at a later date at the Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas.
