Dolores Jean Jacob

Dolores was born on September 2, 1938, to the late parents of Opal Barnett and Jesse Burge in Dallas, Texas. She passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 84 in Granbury, Texas.

Dolores graduated from Sunset High School in North Oak Cliff in Dallas, Texas where she worked in the area teaching dance classes until marrying James W Jacob in 1958. James and Dolores moved to Maypearl, Texas, a small farming and ranching community, where Dolores retired and they raised two children. Dolores was a loving and caring mother and wife who always put your interests first. She enjoyed her morning bowling league, going to garage sales, and swing dancing with her husband. They were so good, other dancers would stop to watch. In 2005, Dolores and James moved to Tolar, Texas to be in the same area as their adult kids.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband James Jacob in May 2021at their home in Tolar, Texas. Dolores resided at their home until breaking an arm and going to rehab in January 2023 where she unexpectedly passed away.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Jacob, her son Monty Jacob, her granddaughter Nicole Jacob Clark, and her remaining cousins Donna Chambers and Judy Jones.
