Dorothy Juanita "Nita" (Henson) Johnson

Nita Johnson, 94, died on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas surrounded by her sons.  She was born in Sylvester, Texas on June 29, 1926 to Welborn and Bessie (McKinzie) Henson.  Nita married James Carl Johnson on June 27, 1948 in Waco, Texas.  He preceded her in death on July 19, 1996.

Nita and Carl were long-time members of First Baptist Church in Pecos, Texas and First Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas.

Nita is survived by sons Garry Johnson and wife, Lynette, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Wayne Johnson and wife, Vickie, of Quinlan, Texas; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sue Richardson of Reagan, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and five sisters.

A graveside service for family will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, February 7, 2021, at White Point Cemetery, in Comanche, Texas, with Rev. John Conrad officiating.

Flowers may be sent to Lacy Funeral Home in Stephenville, Texas. 

Covid 19 protective protocols will be followed.
