Services for Edward Lee “BeBaw” Hope will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home with Rev. Weldon Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home. Edward passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Weatherford, Texas. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Edward was born in Breckenridge, Texas, on May 16, 1939, to parents, Edward Lee Hope, Sr., and Tommie Lee (Atkinson) Hope. In 1959, he married Rosie Lee Hope, in Stephenville, Texas. She preceded him in death on February 9, 1993.
Edward was a Baptist. He worked hard and prided himself in providing for his family, making his living as a hay hauler. In his spare time, Edward enjoyed the outdoors while hunting and fishing. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by many.
Survivors include his children, Donna Parrack of Stephenville, Melinda Johnston and husband, Randy, of Stephenville, Marilyn Strout of Stephenville, Carla Caron and husband, David, of Stephenville, and Shelia Filio and husband, Luis, of Dublin; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Stanford, Joyce Rainey, Brenda Robertson, and Billie Hope.
Preceded in death by son, Marvin Hope, and granddaughter, Crystal Johnston.
