Evelyn Murff

Evelyn Louise Murff went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 8, 2024, in Granbury, Texas. She was 87 years old. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Long Creek Baptist Church of Weatherford, Texas, at 11 a.m. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home in Stephenville, Texas.

Evelyn was born on October 17,1936 to parents Clyde Eaton and Mattie (Bennett) Eaton. She married Melton Murff on March 10, 1954, in Sweetwater, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2010.

Evelyn was a member of Granbury Baptist Church. Evelyn had a true servant’s heart, serving on a mission trip in Panama at the age of 75. She loved experiencing the world and never tired of traveling to destinations far and wide with her daughters. In her spare time she enjoyed working with her hands, creating beautiful crafts through quilting and painting. But more than anything Evelyn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Melta Sprinkles and husband, Delayne of Granbury, Texas, and Melinda Lee and husband, Casey of Teague, Texas; grandchildren, Mendy Riddle and husband, Josh of Weatherford, Texas, Erin Jones and husband, Steve of Granbury, Texas, Aimee Albright of Granbury, Texas, Justin Lee and wife, Sara of Donie, Texas, Monica Hurst and husband, Zack of Iola, Texas, and Kristi Bracewell and husband, Zach of Bedias, Texas; great-grandchildren, Raines, Haven, Ranson, Hannah, Emma, Zoey, Maverick, Ace, Elanor, ZJ, Eve Lyn, Casey, Kene, Blyss, Dash, and Boone.
