Frances "Winnie" Stephens Obituary

Frances (Winnie) Winniferd Stephens, age 59, of Stephenville, TX died Wednesday August 12, 2020 surrounded by family at her home in Stephenville. She was born in Odessa, TX on June 29, 1961 to Harl Smith and Alvia M. Wampler. She married Jowell C. Stephens of Stephenville, in Granbury, TX on August 6, 2006.

Mrs. Stephens attended Valley Mills High School where she was a three-year Drum Major and played trumpet in the stage band. She continued her love of music thru her God givin voice, she loved to sing and dance and commanded a room by just walking in. She sang on the worship team at the Cowboy Church of Erath Co. from 2006 to 2012, where she was also a member. Among her many talents, was photography. She could put a smile on your face and bring out the beauty in everyone.

Winnie was a giver, if she had it, it was yours, if she didn’t, she would find it. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver. She was ALL WAYS, “ALL IN.”

Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Jowell C. Stephens; one daughter, Kristin Whorton; her children, Lauryn, Gabriel, Harlee, Mathys, and Liam, of Stephenville; two step-children, Bradley Stephens, and wife, Leighann, their children, Faith, Adam, Jenna, Lucas, and Wesley, of Roanoke; Amber Stephens Quarles and husband, Scott, their children, Sara, Shai, Jadan, Izick, and Bradly of Stephenville; brother-in-law Steve Stephens, and wife, Sara of Hico, sister-in-law, Leah Miller, and husband, Raymond of Stephenville; two brothers, Harold Richard Smith of Valley Mills, and Howard Charles Smith, of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
