Gary Eugene Parr

Services for Gary Eugene Parr, 75, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the Erath County Cowboy Church with Rev. Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Erath County Cowboy Church. Gary will be lying in state at the church from 8:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Gary was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 9, 1945, to M.E. and Lazelle (Tribble) Parr. He married Lynda Ogle on May 21, 1968, in Granbury, Texas.

Gary was a member of the Erath County Cowboy Church. He worked for Coca Cola for 35 years before retirement. He was a member of the American, Texas, and Cross Timbers Polled Hereford Association. He was also a former member of the Stephenville Bass Club.

Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynda Parr; 2 children, Denella (Parr) Petty and husband, Royce of Weatherford, Texas, and Darrin Parr and wife, Crista of Alvarado, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Bryce Petty, Blake Petty, Brooke Petty, Katelyn Parr, and Kyle Parr; brother, Glenn Parr and wife, Connie of Cleburne, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
