James Ronald Nelson

Graveside Services for James R. Nelson, 73, small appliance repairman, who died on Saturday, November 26, 2022, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

James was born in Stephenville, Texas, on October 20, 1949, to Elma Curtis and Jimmie (Martin) Nelson. He married Rosa Rosales on August 1, 1982, in Sugarland, Texas.

James loved fishing, animals, growing plants, and playing dominoes. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Nelson of Sugarland, Texas; sister, Raylene Faubus of Rosenberg, Texas; mother-in-law, Dominga Rosales of Needville, Texas; sisters-in-law, Teri Rosales of Wharton, Texas, and Irma McNeil of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law, Ross Rosales of Buda, Texas; a special niece, Debra Sweeton and husband, Levon, and their child, Sara, of Carrizo Springs, Texas; and several other nieces and nephews.
