Services for James Arie Salter, 47, heavy equipment operator, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rita Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Lacy Funeral Home.
James was born in Weatherford, Texas on May 29, 1974, to Arlin and Kathleen (Hopkins) Salter. He married Estell Staton on August 7, 2021; however, they have been together for 20 years.
James was a member of Cedar Point Baptist Church.
James is survived by his wife, Estell Salter of Stephenville, Texas; children, Lisa Cox and Andrew Phillips, Amanda Hooks, and T.J. Salter, all of Blum, Texas, Emily Cook, Trinity Cook, and Aubrie Brooks, of Stephenville, Texas; and Emma Baker of Blum, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, John Salter and wife, Beverly Salter; aunt, Sylvia Bryant; niece, Kathleen Petry and husband, Mark of Granbury, Texas; and many more nieces and nephews.
