Janis Rose Edwards

Janis Rose (Price) Edwards, 80, entered into rest on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Stephenville, Texas. A memorial service for Janis will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2024, at the Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Edwards officiating. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Janis was born on November 2, 1944, in Dalhart, Texas, to Marion “Red” Franklin Price and Goldie Mae Whiteside. She married Jarrell “Punkin” Waid Edwards on February 29, 1996, in Decatur, Texas, he preceded her in death on February 26, 1997. She was a Baptist, and earned an associate’s degree as a cosmetologist. She was a proud owner of several restaurants, and waited many tables in her lifetime. She enjoyed card or board games, working with her horses, and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Tony Williams of Boyd, Texas, Bethanna Phillips of Iredell, Texas, Yancey Cashell and wife Debbie of Stephenville, Texas, La Jeanna Willard of Boyd, Texas, Kathy Hicks and husband Michael of Edmond, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Kimberly, Amber, Trevor, Danny, Stormy, Cash, Maddie, Cody, Christopher, Skylar, Mackenzie, James, Timothy, Sierra; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jarrell “Punkin” Edwards, and her son Jerry Williams. She will always be remembered for her infectious laughter and kind heart.
