Services for Jerry Douglas “Lon” Hallmark will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home with Daniel Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home. He passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Granbury, Texas, at the age of 81.
Jerry was born in Gorman, Texas, on February 22, 1943, to parents Lon Hallmark and Willie Mae (Brock) Hallmark. He married Susan Shamblin on September 2, 1961, in Rotan, Texas.
Jerry was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church. He made his life as a rancher and real cowboy.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Hallmark of Granbury, Texas; children, Don Hallmark and wife, Priscilla, of Odessa, Texas, and Lonna Bevel and husband, Jerry, of Andrews, Texas; grandchildren, Donny Hallmark and wife, Casey, of Granbury, Texas, Rusty Smith and wife, Brittany, of Andrews, Texas, Keisha Arnold and husband, Daniel, of Granbury, Texas, Samantha Hallmark of Stephenville, Texas, and Jerry Don Bevel of St. George, Utah; two siblings, Clara Mae Barnett of Flower Mound, Texas, and Leonard Hallmark of Lingleville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Zane Hallmark and Ray Bevel.
