Jimmie Dee Dorsett, 70, of Desdemona, passed away May 17, 2026.

Jimmie was born on November 11, 1955 in Kern County, California to Jimmie Don Dorsett and Jeanne Anne Eaves. He was a craftsman and worked in the construction industry after he retired from the United States Navy. His favorite things to do were woodworking and spending time with his family.

Jimmie is survived by his sister Jalynn Cox and husband Ed of Gatesville, his sister-in-law Phyliss Dorsett, his nephews Bobby Cox and wife Kara, Christopher Cox and wife Mary Ann, and Joshua Cox and wife Christy. He also is survived by his 5 great nieces, Caroline Cox, Madison Cox, Ashlynn Cox, Everett Cox, and Emily Cox.
