John Musgrove Obituary

Services for John L. Musgrove, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home chapel with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m.to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Lacy Funeral Home.

John was born in Idalou, Texas, on October 30, 1933, to parents Henry Musgrove and Myra (Little) Musgrove. John was married to Carolyn (Jordan) Musgrove. She preceded him in death on February 3, 1978. He then married Audrey Ann (Cavitt) Musgrove. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2022.

John was a truck driver and dairyman by trade. John had a true servants heart. He was a proud Navy veteran, serving during the Korean war. He was a member of and served as past master for several Masonic Lodges. He was a member of the Carlton Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Charlene Ramos and husband, David of Granbury, Texas; Dee Dee Martin and husband, Camon of Comanche, Texas; Gene Chambers and wife, Sandra of Lingleville, Texas; and Elizabeth “Lisa” Banks and husband James of Stephenville, Texas; 7 grandchildren, John David Ramos, Jeremy Ramos, Emily McNew, Chet Chambers, Quenton Chambers, Eleshia Brown-Ebeling, and Nathan Brown; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. John will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know him.                      

Memorials may be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children at 815 Market St., Galveston, Texas 77550, or to the Texas Masonic Retirement Center at 1501 W. Division St., Arlington, Texas 76012.
