Kathrine (Hightower) Long

Graveside services for Kathrine Hightower Long, 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Kory Koch officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M.- 1:30 P.M., Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Lacy Funeral Home.

Kathrine was born in Lubbock, Texas on December 14, 1933 to Witt and Johnye (Fowler) Hightower.

Kathrine was a member of Oakdale Methodist Church in Stephenville, Texas for many years. She always had a green thumb and loved to garden. She loved spending time raising her family. She was always worried about her children when they traveled, but was overjoyed to see them.

Kathrine is survived by her 5 children, Gaylene McKay, of Gladewater, Texas, Trisha Lowry, of Stephenville, Texas, Matthew Dawson, of Mineral Wells, Texas, Sherry Dawson, of Gladewater, Texas, and Amanda Worley, of Farmersville, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Roger Long.
