Kyle Grant Porter
October 26, 1967 – August 16, 2024
Services for Kyle Grant Porter will be held at 2 p.m. On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas. God called Kyle home on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the young age of 56. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Kyle was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 26, 1967, to parents Charles Grant Porter and Patsy Ruth (Pruitt) Porter. He graduated from the University of North Texas where he met Tracy Ann Maddux. The inevitable happened when they found each other again years later and married on July 19, 2014, in Granbury, Texas.
Kyle was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas where he loved to share his belief in God with others.
Kyle was passionate about many things including his coffee, cars (especially the fast ones!), traveling abroad with his best friend Tracy, and everything on water.
During his spare time, Kyle could be found on his boat or jet skis cruising down the Brazos River, his favorite place, and grilling out back in the evenings.
More than anything, Kyle enjoyed people and making them laugh. Those who knew Kyle will forever remember his hysterical stories and his animated ways of telling them. Kyle loved spending quality time making memories with his family and friends. He will truly be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Tracy Porter of Granbury, Texas; mother, Patsy Porter of North Richland Hills, Texas; son, Layne Solsbery of Granbury, Texas; siblings, Kevin Porter and wife Joanie Porter of North Richland Hills, Texas; nephew, Reece Porter of North Richland Hills, Texas; mother-in-law, Linda Boudreaux and husband, John of Houston, Texas; Father-in-law, David Maddux.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association at PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
