Larry Haynie Obituary

Larry Dene Haynie passed away peacefully at Lake Granbury Hospital on August 28th, 2021, at the age of 71. Born to John and Francis Haynie on December 16, 1949, in Kentucky. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 A.M at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Stephenville, Texas.

Larry worked in the field of natural gas most of his life. Serving in the Vietnam War, Larry earned bronze medals for his bravery.

Larry met his wife, Donna Lee Haynie, at the age of 14 and they celebrated 58 years of marriage together this past April. A resident of Stephenville for many years, Larry enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren grow up in the Stephenville ISD Schools.

Larry is preceded in death by his father, John Haynie; mother, Francis Haynie; brothers, John and Duane Haynie; and daughter, Lauren Haynie.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Haynie; brother, Raymond Haynie, of Odessa; daughters, Ashley Sanders and her husband, Kenneth Sanders, of Ft. Worth, Raegan Hall, and her husband Sam Hall, of Vicenza, Italy; and three granddaughters, Macy, Madelyn, and Maegan Hall.

Larry loved his family and worked very hard to ensure they had everything they needed in a quiet selfless manner. He will be remembered as a strong husband, father, and friend to those who had the honor to know him.

Information about funeral services will be forthcoming.
